THE ASSOCIATION The Hastings Waterfront Business Association (HWBA). The focus for the new association is on the retail stores along West Hastings Street, between Richards and Burrard, and immediately adjacent side streets. The corporate umbrella under which all activity will take place is a nonprofit incorporated under the Societies Act of British Columbia. Planning was farsighted. While the promotional core of today's membership is a compact area around West Hastings, the waterfront at Canada Place and stretching west toward Stanley Park, provides fertile territory for future expansion.
